Welcome to Wood Studio (referred to as “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Wood Studio”). By visiting our website, browsing our catalog, or purchasing handcrafted solid wood furniture and decor products from us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before confirming your order.

1. General Overview & Applicability

These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, merchants, and content contributors.
By placing an order with Wood Studio, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence.
We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates on our website. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Product Authenticity, Timber Characteristics & Handcrafted Nature

100% Solid Hardwood: All our primary furniture frames are handcrafted from 100% genuine, chemically seasoned Sheesham wood (Indian Rosewood) or designated solid timber, complemented by heavy-duty 18mm structural ply for under-bed storage decks.
Natural Wood Traits (“Checks”): Solid timber is an organic material that breathes and interacts with seasonal temperature and humidity fluctuations. The appearance of minor hairline surface splits, grain separations, or knots (known in the timber trade as “Checks”) are authentic characteristics of natural solid hardwood and are not considered defects or damages. These do not affect the strength, durability, or functional life of the furniture.
Handmade & Finish Variations: Because each piece is hand-carved and hand-polished by artisans, minor variations in wood grain intensity, knots, and color tones between digital catalog images and physical products are normal. Screen brightness, ambient lighting, and photography settings can also cause slight visual variations.
Leveling & Dimensions: An unevenness or dimensional variance of up to 5 mm may occur due to natural timber shaping, hand sanding, and variations in uneven flooring surfaces.

3. Pricing, Orders & Payments

All prices displayed are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless specified otherwise.
We reserve the right to alter pricing, modify product specifications, or discontinue products without prior notice.
Once you place an order, an order confirmation email/message will be sent. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if there are suspected fraudulent transactions, pricing errors, or stock limitations.

4. Shipping, Logistics & Delivery

Shipping Coverage: We deliver across all North Indian states and designated PIN codes across India via specialized heavy-furniture freight partners.
Standard Shipping Timeline: Standard dispatch and delivery timeline across North India is approximately 7 business days from the date of order confirmation, subject to local logistics access, road clearances, and weather conditions.
Access & In-House Delivery Check: Customers are responsible for verifying that the dimensions of the purchased item can easily pass through staircases, elevators, doorways, and hallways into the designated room. Wood Studio is not responsible if a product cannot enter the premises due to narrow passageways or height constraints.

5. Assembly & Installation Services

Free Assembly Regions: We provide complimentary professional assembly and room placement across select Rajasthan cities, including:
- Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur.
Other Cities & Regions: For destinations outside the free assembly zone, assembly assistance can be arranged through third-party technician networks at a nominal, standardized rate (typically around ₹499 per unit), or the customer may opt for self-assembly using our provided hardware kits and alignment guidelines.

6. Cancellation Policy

Pre-Dispatch Cancellations: If you decide to cancel an order before the consignment has been processed and handed over to the courier/transport hub, the cancellation will be accepted subject to a flat 2.5% deduction towards payment gateway transaction processing and administrative fees.
Post-Dispatch Cancellations: Once the product has been dispatched from our workshop or logistics facility, cancellations cannot be entertained under any circumstances.
Sale & Promotional Orders: Any orders placed during clear-out sales, flash discounts, festive promotions, or custom-dimension orders are strictly non-cancellable and non-refundable.

7. Warranty & Guarantee

Lifetime Anti-Termite Warranty: All seasoned timber used by Wood Studio undergoes rigorous anti-termite and borer chemical immersion treatments. We provide a Lifetime Warranty against wood-boring pest infestation.
12-Month Structural & Manufacturing Warranty:
- Covers latent manufacturing flaws in timber seasoning, structural joinery, adhesive bonding, and metal brackets for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery.
- Within this period, Wood Studio will, at its sole discretion, repair the affected part, replace the defective component, or replace the product if deemed unrepairable.
Exclusions from Warranty:
- Normal wear and tear resulting from routine usage.
- Upholstery fabrics, leatherette, foam cushioning, and mattress wear (unless explicitly stated).
- Damages resulting from misuse, overloading, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, exposure to water/rain, or prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight causing polish fading.
- Products altered, repaired, or serviced by third-party carpenters without prior written authorization from Wood Studio.

8. Transit Damage & Replacement Policy (Easy & Fast Support)

Packaging Integrity: All furniture is packed in heavy-duty, multi-layered protective packaging (corrugated cardboard, EPE foam sheets, bubble wraps, and corner guards).
Reporting Transit Discrepancies: On the rare occasion that an item arrives with physical transit damage, structural scratches, or breakage:
- The customer must document the issue by taking clear photos and unboxing videos of the damaged part along with the outer packaging.
- Send the report to our customer support within 48 hours of receiving delivery.
- Wood Studio will promptly inspect the claim and arrange a replacement part, technician touch-up, or full unit exchange at no additional charge.
Fragile Components (Glass / Mirrors): Products containing mirrors or glass panels (such as dressing frames or glass-door cabinets) are packed with extreme care. In the rare event of transit breakage, replacement glass/mirrors will be sent promptly upon delivery verification. Note: Post-delivery breakage is not covered under warranty.

9. Maintenance & Proper Use

To preserve the longevity and natural luster of your Sheesham wood furniture:

Regularly dust using a soft, clean, dry microfiber cloth.
Immediately blot and wipe spills with a cloth lightly dampened with plain water only; avoid abrasive scrubbers, chemical solvents, thinner, or acidic solutions.
Keep solid timber away from prolonged, direct exposure to intense sunlight to prevent natural honey or walnut stains from oxidizing or fading unevenly.
Always use heat pads, mats, or coasters beneath hot cups, warm vessels, and glassware.

10. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

Wood Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or website.
These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide services to you shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, with exclusive legal jurisdiction resting in the courts of Jaipur / Sikar (Rajasthan).
